LG Corp. is a holding company that controls other companies by means of holding their stocks. As a holding company, LG Corp., formerly known as LG Chem Investment Ltd., merged with LG Electronics Investment Ltd. and the real estate and investment divisionof LG MRO and changed its name from LG Chem Investment Ltd. to LG Corp. in March 2003.
